Today was one of the busiest days of my life. Muslims have been fasting for about a month and today is the last day. Tomorrow is Eid al-Fitr, so it was incredibly crowded outside. People flocked to the shopping malls to shop for Eid and the streets were also very crowded. In our culture, people wear new things on Eid. I can say that this is a very old tradition passed down to us from our ancestors. Our elders used to take us shopping every holiday since we were children. Of course, Eid is not as meaningful as it used to be, but I still like to buy and wear new clothes sometimes. Since I left home without eating, I looked for a place to have breakfast but it was almost impossible to find an empty place!
Luckily, we found an average place even though it wasn't very good and had breakfast. A while ago, I was trying to adopt a vegan diet. I avoided animal foods as much as I could, but in the last couple of weeks, I broke this rule a little bit. I want to go back to a vegan diet because I felt very healthy and light when I was eating vegan.
Fortunately, we finished today, even if it was hard! Now I'm off to get some rest and hope to wake up tomorrow for a beautiful Eid al-Fitr morning... Bye!
