After packing up and leaving Santa Maria, I found a fun little town 20 minutes South on the 101 called Los Alamos, CA. The town is pretty much one main street. They have a few different restaurants (I heard the bread shop is the best) a general store as you can see in the picture above, and a bunch of wineries. For such a small little town there's plenty to do. Wine and antique shops on a relaxed Saturday, not too bad.
It would be fun to check out a farm I heard about here where you can dine in or assemble a picnic basket to take out with you for the day. Might have to try it out but really just passing through to the next destination. Small town with a laid back vibe.
