Thomson sat huddled by the corner of the barn, his hands and feet bound, it was totally dark in there except for the little sunlight filtering in through the keyhole. He wondered how dark it would be when night came, and he shivered.
Thomson knew from the start that this mission would be fraught with many dangers but the weight of his emotions had given him the strength to carry on, he just couldn't suppress this love that bloomed in his heart, for Princess Ubet and knowing that she loved him back was all the courage he needed. So he had gone on, to ask for the Princess' hand in marriage but the king who was wroth with anger had asked his guards to lock Thomson up, in the barn, for daring to ask for such, when he was just a nonentity.
The king possessing magical powers turned Thomson into a goblin that night.
Fortunately for thomson, one of the guards who delivered their love letters, was privy to the king's devious action. So he it was who took the news to princess Ubet and unfolded yet another sinister plan by the king, to burn the barn the next night.
Princess Ubet horrified, planned with the Good guard to save the goblin, her beloved Thomson before it was too late.
