Jones and his friends Mike and Max went out to club on a Saturday night. This was against the strict instructions of the school management against students going out to attend events like that.
Jude had been told of the coming of a pop star to town by his cousin who lives within the town. He had promised to pay the gate fee for Jude and also entertain him on the night.
Jude had told his friends Max and Mike about the show and they expressed their interest to attend. But the problem was how to leave the school premises in the night. The three friends then hatched a plan of how to sneak out of the boarding house without much ado.
When night came, Jude got a ladder and placed it on the wall fence of the school that fateful evening. His two friends climbed it and jumped over. It was only remaining Jude on the other side of the fence. And as he was about to climb the ladder, it slipped, Jude was tripped and he fell off the ladder and broke his leg in the process.
His two friends could be heard on the other side of the fence urging him to rise up and climb again but Jude could not as his leg was badly damaged after the fall.
After a few attempts though he could be heard on the other side of the fence telling his friends that he had broken his leg as a result of the bad fall. That was how the night outing was aborted.
