Canada here. We passed legislation at the Federal level placing limits on drug pricing. Could that be done in the USA? Sure, but not when you let lobbyists for corporations write your legislation for you.

RE: Dolphin mom adopts whale calf, the first known case of a wild bottlenose mom adopting a calf of another species, as reported in a new study. The orphaned calf even learned to act like a bottlenose dolphin, gaining acceptance into the community.
Wow, somehow I hadn't realized that dolphins can live up to 50 years. That's pretty long.
RE: Earth just got blasted with the highest-energy photons ever recorded. The gamma rays, which clocked in at well over 100 tera-electronvolts (10 times what LHC can produce) seem to originate from a pulsar lurking in the heart of the Crab Nebula.
One photon was measured at 450 TeV (450 x 10e12 eV). 45 times more energetic than anything CERN's LHC can produce. But even this pales in comparison to the energy of some cosmic rays. The "Oh-My-God"
RE: Texan installed DIY integrated solar on his 2011 Nissan Leaf. Gets about 10 miles of charge per day from solar while the car sits in the parking lot at work; plans further improvements: aiming for a goal of adding 20–25 miles per day.
The math kind of works i guess. A nissan leaf consumes about 3 kwh for 10 miles. A square meter of solar panel will gather about 2 kwh in 10 hours of bright sun.
