This young rabbit

He traveled all day

He ran and ran

Trying to find his way

A little grass here

A little grass there

But about the grass

He didn't much care

He was searching for something

He didn't much know

But nothing was going

To stop him no

Determined little rabbit

That he was

Running so much

Wearing his paws

He stopped to think

What could it be

Something he wanted

So desperately

He thought and thought

And thought some more

He was so tired

Exhausted and wore

He saw a man

From a distance

This was his chance

He would not miss it

The man opened his arms

And welcomed him in

All the rabbit wanted

Was a best friend

I'm brand new to writing poems and criticism will be greatly appreciated. I wrote this poem and felt so great about myself. All comments, good or bad, are welcomed! Thank you much for reading.
