A man walks into a bar with a dog and says: 'This dog can talk! I bet anyone a hundred bucks that he’ll answer anything!' He takes the bets, and the patrons start asking the dog questions. But the dog stubbornly remains silent. 'Speak already, come on, speak! You traitor...!' his owner desperately calls. Eventually, they both leave, humiliated. Outside on the sidewalk, the man reproachfully says to the dog: 'You really let me down! Do you know how much this cost me?' The dog just wags his tail contentedly and then says: 'I see you don’t understand business at all. Do you know how much we’ll make if we show up at that bar tomorrow and bet a thousand with everyone?'

Do baru vejde pán se psem a povídá: "Tento pes umí mluvit! Vsadím se s každým o stovku, že odpoví na cokoli!" Uzavřel sázky a hosté začali psovi klást otázky. Jenže ten zarytě mlčel. "Mluv už konečně, no tak mluv! Ty zrádče...!" zoufale volal jeho pán. Nakonec oba s ostudou odešli pryč. Venku na chodníku pán povídá vyčítavě psovi: "To jsi mě teda zklamal! Víš, kolik mě to stálo?" Pes jen spokojeně vrtí ocasem a pak povídá: "Vidím, že vůbec nerozumíš kšeftu. Víš, kolik vyděláme, až se v tom baru ukážeme zítra a vsadíme se každým o tisícovku?
