Up till the recent months I was really heavy invested into alt coins but I've been slowly doing portfolio diversification into Bitcoin as the market dominance grows. This rise in Bitcoin has yet cause action in most alt coins, unlike the previous bull run.
There is no way to really know if alts will take off or if Bitcoin will keep gaining dominance and value. Because of this I started portfolio diversification so I've got some value in Bitcoin just in case Steemit and alts doin't get action this round.
I really wish I did this earlier while Steemit was going down in value from the previous bull run but I really thought the next bull run would push alts up again like before. We're learning history can repeate but not always in the exact same manner.
Alt coins could still take off so I'm never going to drain all my investment from alts but I feel it's only smart to never have "all your eggs in one basket".
Right now all my portfolio diversification has been 100% into Bitcoin but I do plan to expand into other bigger alt coins later.
I always need to thank EVERYONE of Steemit for allowing me to build up crypto on this platform via posting, it's been a life changing platform
