Another steem blockchain game has gone live and I wanted to share my first Impressions with you. If you are new to blockchain games there are many places where you can get some information, perhaps the biggest difference to non-blockchain games is that you actually own the things (whatever they might be) in the game. For example, in splinterlands it is the cards you receive and in holybread it is the heroes and items. As they are bound to your account and are unique they actually hold some (monetary) value. This new element makes games (at least to me) more meaningful, as I often wonder why I am playing games once they feel like a grind. Of course, that question may still arise for blockchain games, but as steemmonsters has shown the items earned can actually become quite valuable. So at the very least you might make a bit of money.
So without further ado here are my impressions.
The pros:
the cons:
The quests....
The arena fights...
I would definitely say that this game has potential, but there is still a lot of work ahead. An app would also be amazing, but that is probably still a long way down the road and only if people continue engaging with the game.
