10k Leo Power!

I finally have 10k Leo powered up!

This was a really long journey, and I didn't necessarily aim for the 10k LEO powered up. I guess it started with leo itself sometime around 2019? This is my 6th year on Hive and back then things were very different. Leo started to take off around 2019-2020 (correct me if I am wrong) and overtook Hive by a long shot. I remember trading Hive to LEO and the ratio was like 4:1 or so. In other words, back then it cost you like 4 Hive to buy 1 Leo! It was the time when Leo was at around $1 and everyone wqas starting to think that Leo was going to become more successful than Hive. People started to seriously ask: when will Leo have its own chain? Crazy times!

Since then the team @leofinance spread out into the DEFI space with CUB and PCUB. It seemed promising at the time and honestly it simply had to be tried out with all the defi hype. Unfortunately, this didn't work out too well. I guess the bear market of 2022 was the most difficult hindrance, but I also often pointed out the flawed assumptions with P/CUB in my posts at the time. Do you still remember everyone saying: PCUB is going to moon because it is so deflationary! Yeah, right it was a hard lesson to be learned. We should have known that scarcity does not equal value! The most important thing is utility.

Anyway... back to LEO :)

The team has finally gone back to basics

and is off to an amazing start with THREADS. It kind of reminds me of the Splinterlands dilemma when it took the team about 2 years to figure out that they had their priorities wrong: LAND should have been the thing to develop first... Equally threads should have been sooner with us. But hey, hindsight is 20/20.

Threads is already looking like it could become the second most successful Dapp on Hive (after SPL). The amount of engagement is great and while still not perfect, improvements should be soon to come. One important development will definitely be to get threads on mobile. After all, who uses Twitter on their desktop/laptop?

LEO has the potential to make a 10x with this kind of development and there is so much more being planned. Don't forget to delegate Hive to @leo.voter to earn 16% APR!
