Iβm still on holiday at home, so Iβm still enjoying the βunusuallyβ scenic route (read: Situ Gintung). Starting on a cool morning, I began running at my usual pace, though this time it was a bit slower.
You know what? Initially, I didn't plan to run further, but because I felt my body was giving me a good signal, I kept running until I had covered ten kilometres without realising it. This means it was my first long run this year.
Looking at the split list, my fastest split was 7:33, which is indeed my comfortable pace. The weather that day was a bit cold and slightly foggy, but it didn't slow me down. While running, I passed a young, rather handsome runner (sorry, I got a little distracted, but it was nice). We exchanged smiles and greetings as fellow runners, but we didn't run together because we were going in different directions. Yaaaahhh...
But that's okay, it was nice to meet another runner in our small village.
I finished my run in 1:20:13 with an average pace of 7:59/km and a total distance of 10.05km.
As usual, I also posed with myself, the road I ran on, and a wet dog I met. He occasionally tried to keep up with me but then stopped. I forgot his name, but I knew he was wet because he had just been playing in the water in a rice field.
My run that morning was truly colourful. And I finished it happily. I feel that today, in this new year, I have a new spirit again.
Thank you for reading my post. See you at the next #2026running.
Hi, I am the child of the universe, I like to read books with various genres. I was born in the city of batik but can't draw batik yet. I want to be a novelist, but my works are only short poems that are included in anthology books.
