When did you last hug someone?
How did you feel?
Isn't that a nice feeling to hug and be hugged?

Hugging is the simpliest form of displaying affection. Not only do we greet each other with hugs, but aslo it is a gesture to convey that we care. It is the perfect thing in between holding hands and kissing. Even if you are not the most sensative person, a warmth hug can make you feel nice.

Hugging is a natural way to show somebody you think they're great. And a hug from a friend is the perfect cure for a bad mood.

Why do we crave hug?

Science says that hugging is good for your health. When you are hugged, your heart rate slows, and your blood pressure is lowered. Hugging is emotionally healthy, too.

The act of hugging releases Oxytocin - the "bonding hormone" - in our brains. Oxytocin is the same hormone that's released when a mother gives birth, giving her and her child an instant bond. So when we're hugged, we feel an immediate surge of acceptance and connection.

Hugging even helps relieve stress! A good squeeze cab lower lovels of cortisol - a stress hormone - in our bodies.

We recommend giving more hugs as part of a healthy lifestyle.
