Hello everyone. Yesterday, I went to the city of Batman, which is about 130 km away from where I live, with my friends. Since my friends are interested in trade, they mostly go to Batman city to buy goods. Our reason for going here is purely for commercial purposes. They asked me if I could accompany them. Since I had not been to this city for a few years, I immediately accepted their offer. At around 16:00 we collected all our receivables and set off to return home. After about 30 km, there is a place called 3 road. When we go north, there is Bitlis, in the south there is Diyarbakır, and when we continue straight to the west, there is a village called Malabadi. In the village, there is an extraordinarily beautiful bridge called Malabadi, on which even songs have been written.

Yaklaşık 30 km ilerledikten sonra 3 yol denilen bir mevki var. Kuzeye doğru ilerlediğimizde Bitlis, güneyde Diyarbakır ve batıya doğru düz şekilde devam ettiğimizde Malabadi denilen bir köy var. Köyde Malabadi denilen üzerine şarkılar bile yazılmış olağanüstü güzellikte bir köprü yer alıyor.
Malabadi bridge is located in Silvan district of Diyarbakır. Actually, this is a region where Batman and Diyarbakır meet. The first thing that caught my attention when I saw the bridge is its length and the height of the arch. There are also other details that I pay attention to. I will talk about them in turn.

The length of the belt opening also seems quite high. I'm guessing it's around 25 meters. A small, medium-sized ferry can easily pass under the bridge.

There are two rooms on the right and left of the bridge, where you can take shelter in bad weather conditions or for rest. I only went into one of the bunkers as I thought it would be the same in terms of design. To reach the shelter, you go down the stairs. I can say that the length of the stone stairs is around 6-7 meters.
Köprünün sağında ve solunda kötü hava koşullarında veya dinlenmek amacıyla sığınabileceğiniz ikişer adet oda var. Tasarım açısından aynı olacağını düşündüğüm için sığınaklardan sadece birine girdim. Sığınağa ulaşmak için merdivenlerden aşağıya doğru iniyorsunuz. Taş merdivenlerin uzunluğu 6-7 metre civarında olduğunu söyleyebilirim.

There is a decrease in the number of people visiting the bridge in the winter season. There were about 20 people when we were there. The historic Malabadi bridge is not suitable for vehicle crossing. For this reason, there is a bridge on the side where vehicles can pass. As you can see at the back, there is a large dam. A dam has been built to obtain energy and to irrigate agricultural lands.
Kış mevsiminde köprüyü ziyaret kişi sayısında bir düşüş oluyor. Biz oradayken yaklaşık 20 kişi vardı. Tarihi Malabadi köprüsü araç geçişi için uygun değil. Bu nedenle yan tarafta araçların da geçebileceği bir köprü yer alıyor. Arka tarafta da görebileceğiniz gibi büyük bir baraj mevcut. Enerji elde etmeki tarım arazilerini sulamak amacıyla baraj inşaa edilmiş durumda.
Here is the view from the other side of the bridge. I felt very lucky to see the historical bridge, which is very impressive in terms of architecture and many other aspects. When you pass through this region, I can definitely recommend you to visit it. Since the air temperature will be quite high in the summer season, you will not be able to get down from the car and visit the bridge. Therefore, the spring and autumn seasons seem to be the most ideal seasons.

Yaz mevsiminde hava sıcaklığı oldukça yüksek olacağı için arabadan aşağıya inip köprüyü ziyaret etme imkanınız olmayacaktır. Bu yüzden ilkbahar ve sonbahar mevsimi en ideal mevsimler olacak gözüküyor.
