The weather has begun to get quite cold. During this cold season, one of my favorite weather phenomena is fog. While at times the fog can persist for days, on other occasions it vanishes very quickly.
''Havalar iyice soğumaya başladı. Soğuk dönemde en sevdiğim hava olaylarından biri sistir. Kimi zaman sis günlerce sürmesine rağmen kimi zaman ise çok kısa sürede ortadan kayboluyor.''
When I first noticed the fog in the distance, I thought it was a cloud. But as it drew closer, I immediately realized it was fog. Foggy weather carries a certain air of mystery—a mystery that only deepens if you happen to be in a somewhat desolate place.
''Sisi uzakta ilk fark ettiğimde bulut olduğunu düşündüm. Ancak yaklaştıkça bunun sis olduğunu hemen fark ettim. Sisli havalar biraz gizemli olur.
This, too, is a remote spot high in the mountains. Foggy weather is the kind that wild animals love most. As the fog rolls in, visibility drops significantly; at very close range, wild animals like wolves or bears could suddenly appear when we least expect them.
I am looking toward the south from where I am. There is no fog at all—just a few clouds. An hour after I took these photos, it started to rain. It wasn’t a very heavy rain.
The mountain, the mist, and the trees—beginning to turn a subtle shade of yellow—came together to create a magnificent scene. It was the mist that truly enhanced the photograph; it doesn’t appear all that often. The mountain is always there, and the trees, for the most part, remain in their places. I found great joy in being there while the mist was present, witnessing how the landscape transformed into such varied, striking images in a short span of time. It is one of those beautiful phenomena that nature offers us during periods when the air temperature drops.
Her zaman sis ortaya çıkmıyor.
