In Nigeria today (27th of May) is usually celebrated as Children's Day, and I think the celebration is international too. Unfortunately, I didn't do any research before writing this, and I know that's lazy of me because I could have easily googled it as I typed. But anyways, I would love to know if the celebration is observed on your end (Non-Nigerians).
Pixabay Today was the 27th of May, and coincidentally, it was the birthday of my eldest sister. It's always a fun day whenever it's the 27th of May in my family. We always have fun calling my elder sister a baby because she was born on Children's Day.
So, the day started well. I woke up, and around 8 a.m., while I had already gotten to my workplace, I called her and wished her a happy birthday. We talked at length, laughed in between the conversation, and that was a lot of fun for me.
I told her I would call her at night before bedtime, but unfortunately, I couldn’t because the day became choked up toward its end, and I couldn't keep the promise.
Aside from that, I made sure I called my younger siblings at home. I had funny moments with them as a way of celebrating the day with them, and just as I suspected, they taxed me to send them money. I promised them I would do that before the end of the day, but the day ended without me fulfilling that promise as well. So bad, I'm gradually piling up promises I need to fulfill. I will try as much as possible to clear off those promises.
How did your 27th of May go?
