I expected them to reach at least the Round of 16, but they ran out of luck, and Paraguay came to the party, executed their game plan very well with their solid defence and the early goal they scored.
Some people have not been surprised by how Germany got knocked out so early because it has been like that ever since they won the title a few years ago. However, it came as a big surprise to many of us because Germany's squad is filled with stars who are in top form for the various clubs they play for.
