It's been a little while since I've posted any fiction and I thought I'd update you on what I'm up to (other than taking pictures of moss).

Work

There's a lot of it. I'm in a new job with a steep learning curve. It's been difficult to find the energy to write. Even my curation has slipped a bit. Hopefully I'm getting things under more control now. Fingers, toes and even ears crossed. I'm hoping I'll have more capacity to do more writing. That's the goal!

Writing

On the writing front I have been working on the next chapter of Mask of White and Red. It's coming along, but super slowly. The good news is that I'm making progress. I hope to have the next chapter up in the next week.

I'm also working on a series of writing-related articles aimed to focus on beginning writers (it's also been helping me as well). We edit a lot of fiction in our fiction queue at The Writers' Block on Discord, and we often see similar issues there in the queue. Thanks to @tinypaleokitchen and @bex-dk these will be called "Worms of Wisdom." I plan to post the first article in that series tomorrow. It's an article out how to do story openings as well as common mistakes and how to avoid them.
