I woke this morning to another beautiful day and my wake up cup of delicious organic local Coffee. The best part was my neice already had my cup poured before I even crawled out of bed.

We had planned to stay home so she could finish painting her "tiny room" so we could get her bed in the box out of the box and ready for her to be able to sleep in her comfy new bed in her own private space.

We were still a bit exhausted from the day before and two trips this week to Kona shopping for bargains at all the thrift stores, Home Depot and the bed place. We were sitting on the deck enjoying the cool breeze and chatting while we enjoyed our coffee when we decided to heck with working today, we were going to go to the flea market in Ocean View to see if we could find some bargains on items we needed.

One of the big issues here is not enough solar to run a washer, so we had already decided to look for a decent, cheap washer and a generator to run it. Well Pele must have heard us because we found a generator for $250 that will be plenty sufficient to run a washer and can be used as a backup for cloudy rainy days when the solar is low. We also got directions to a local man's house that sells used washers for $100. Unfortunately he wasn't home, so we will catch him another day.

We also had to get a fresh local grown pineapple and a huge avocado to make some quacomole and a few more unique household items. Sorry I'm just to exhausted to take photos.

We then went to the grocery store, then to Grandma's Closet which is a small thrift store. We found a few more items there. We then headed back towards Naalehu, went to the post office, then made another stop at the dump thrift store to look for long pillow cases which we found. On the way back up the mountain, we saw a garage sale sign with no arrows pointing to which direction to turn, drove around a bit, then said to heck with it and came home.

We unloaded our purchases, put them away, then stretched out for a nice rest. When we finally decided to get up and move around, I started chopping all my goodies to make a chicken curry. I had lots of veggies that needed to be eaten soon and some delish leftover to die for smoked chicken.

This is the curry which was just what I had been craving. Broccoli, carrots, onions, eggplant, zucinni, kale, Moranga leaves, mushrooms, garlic, ginger, tumeric, cilantro, curry powder, cumin, chili powder, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, hot sauce, sracha, stewed tomatoes and coconut milk. All was organic and all but a few of the seasonings were locally grown and raw.

I also made a pot of a mixture of brown and wild rice. Just what my body needed and had been begging for! I didn't even have to clean up the kitchen afterwards, my neice did it for me!

I am now stretched out on my comfy bed, relaxing and enjoying the nice cool breeze blowing thru the window. Hopefully I will be all rested for another busy work day tomorrow.

At least that is the plan.. lol. Who knows, maybe we will decide to to Sunday funday and head out to have another adventure. That's the beauty of being free to do whatever the heck I wanna do whenever I want to. As we say here in Hawaii, "Save some for tomorrow.". That's how we roll here in Paradise.

Life is too short to waste it always working and never doing the things that rejuvenate and bring you Joy and peace.

Live Life, don't allow it to live you!

Mahalo and God bless each and every one of you!
