Hand-boarding hasn't reached the level of glamour as board surfing, but DAMN IS IT FUN!

Armed with nothing more than a small hand paddle and two fins, I am able to drop in on some serious waves and fling myself down massive faces in a side plank position.

Today's waves at Playa Maderas, Nicaragua weren't anything too big, but they were good enough to get pitted all the way to the shore!

I learned how to hand-board in Oahu in 2009 and have since caught some sick breaks in Bali, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica. Unfortunately, the board I ride (Redwing Cleaver) is no longer in production. I use Duck Feet fins to help get extra propulsion.
