Now about Ferapontovo. I probably write about it after every trip to Kirillov or Ferapontovo.
As a child, I loved (and still love) all kinds of books with color illustrations about the Russian North, churches, and nature...it helped me to become a photographer.
I looked with admiration at the temples of Ferapontovo and Kirillov and dreamed of walking there.
To date, I’ve been to these places dozens of times, and they don’t attract that kind of attention.
But I know these mechanisms and I know how to use them, so in order to feel like the first time, to admire again and again, I mentally imagine that I am the same child who is not looking at a book, but walking in person.
Either I show myself the views from my childhood, allowing him to look through my current eyes at everything around.
You can also try to imagine yourself being small, as if I'm showing a tour to myself.
In general, these types of walks don't always go the way I described.
It happens that it somehow happens automatically and I just admire the places like the first time.
Sometimes it's enough to find a place you haven't been to yet, and all the other places will also be new.
