Hi, dear members of the Freewriters community and the Hive ecosystem!
This is my entry to the Writing Prompt by for 27 January 2026, @mariannewest's Freewrite Writing Prompt Day 2996: reverse down the street.
He was furious with his wife, children, parents, and everyone else.
In fact, he was furious with the whole world.
So, he go into his car, and clenching the steering wheel with his fists hard like a maniac, he tried to think about what he would do next.
All of a sudden, this crazy idea came to him like a lightning bolt!
He started the engine, hit the road, and suddenly pressed the brake, stopping there for a moment, while there weren’t any other cars on the street.
Then he put his mad plan into action: Reverse down the street, until he crashed into another vehicle!
This was the only way for his anger to subside.
He didn’t care about any damage or persons injured or killed as a result of his rage.
He couldn’t control his thoughts, and he couldn’t really justify his actions to himself.
It was too late for seconds thoughts now, and it was his fury that had come over him and dominated his actions rather than reasoning.
