Canada Flag Cherry Hand Pies (Easy Baking)

Happy Canada Flag Day!

My youngest kept reminding me that it would be "Canada Flag Day soon, Mommy". He is just too adorable. He is definitely like a sponge still, whatever he learns from school, he absorbs it by heart and would reteach whatever values he learns, to us at home 😁

So, for Canada Flag Day, I made these delish pies, my oldest's son's favorite, cherry pies 😊

I had left over of the store bought cherry pie filling, so flag shaped pies they became 🥧😍🥧😍

Here are the ingredients!

110 ml df milk, lukewarm
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp active dry yeast
1 can cherry pie filling (store bought, but you can use homemade, definitely!)
3 c flour
1/3 scant cup sugar
1 tsp salt
230 g fat (golden shortening) or regular vegetable shortening, df butter (room temperature), regular butter (room temperature), margarine (if using margarine spread, lessen the amount a bit) whichever you prefer
