Highlighting @riverflows, with the story:

In the 1990's in Australia, eyebrows were thin and overplucked, like starving chickens in a tornado or a orangutang experimenting with a razor, or a child's drawing of Cruella Da Ville.
Curator's comment :
Riverflows brings us a delightfully funny, relatable story about aging in all its notorious ugly glory!
Highlighting @zyzymena, with the story:
Everything was set. I double-checked my boxes once again to make sure everything was going smoothly. Clothes, shoes, and hair were all checked; all that was left was a makeover and a "Sexy Diva" photoshoot. Oh yeah! I planned on showing the girls how it was done. The photoshoot session has already been scheduled, and all I needed to do was get myself to the make-up studio for a new look.
Curator's comment :
Zyzymena brings us a gorgeous message delivered eloquently, creatively, and with great humor. A #CNF for the *make-up* prompt about a make-up and photoshoot that she arranged for her 30th birthday. It is a really lovely balanced piece. She has an ability to laugh at herself in the face of adversity which is a surefire way to win the hearts of her readers.
Highlighting @nancybriti1, with the story:
Far from stopping with that nonsense, and making it clear that sometimes adults do not act intelligently, they repeated every chance they got that maybe I had been adopted, or someone had left me abandoned at the door of the house and mother had picked me up. Their constant teasing became a hammer to my ears as a child and a worry that tightened my chest at all hours.
Curator's comment :
Nancybriti1 writes an emotive, heartbreaking, and endearing #CNF for the *make-up* prompt. When she was little, her genealogy was called into question by her family. She was fair-skinned compared to her siblings, and while they resembled her father, each bearing the genetic *mole* in the corner of their upper lip, she did not have one. She was made to feel different; not belonging. She felt shame for herself and her parents as her mother's fidelity was also called into question. Her father, however, always tried to make her feel special. He would say... she may look the least like him but her character aligned the most. It made her wonder what this character trait might be. When she participated in a beauty pageant in 4th grade, she asked her mom to draw a *mole* on her upper lip. This gave her the confidence she needed to face everyone and win the contest. She realised then that it brought out her fierce unstoppable spirit that already existed.
