My Uncle's Best Man

The laughter from the crowd quickly grew uneasy. I watch him chuckle to himself. He was probably enjoying the attention. I was almost fuming. I knew my uncle had lived recklessly as a bachelor but exposing such a past life on his wedding day from a man who was his partner in crime was such a painful thing.

Curator's comment :

@marriot5464's story is very well narrated and plays with awakening different emotional states in the characters. A drunk best man, an enraged mother of the bride, a groom who renounces, angry at the old friendship, and the curiosity of the narrator who doesn't miss a detail of the party.
