Zerah writes a cute, relatable CNF about her wild day trying to dodge obstacles thats rained down on her while on her way to an important interview. The piece is funny and grin-worthy.

I dragged myself up the stairs wet and tired. My shoes were squirting out water as I stomped up the stairs. I had wasted the whole day on a side gig I wished I hadn't taken. It was eating not just my peace but my sanity too.

'Show don't tell' shines in this story by marriot5464. From the water squishing in his shoes to the rumbling in his stomach, the author puts us very much in a circumstance where he is wet, cold, and hungry. The story works well. This author also comments meaningfully on other stories.

The Timeless Dress

My mum would always take me to some of these market trips to the thrift market, popularly known as "Kantangwa". I've never seen traders who take pride in what they sell more than these thrift traders; they even make those who choose to buy from the boutique feel like they are being cheated and just wasting money.

Curator's comment :

glorydee offers a lovely CNF story. She offers aspiration, disappointment, and happiness all in the space of a some 800 words. The story is about an emerald green dress, but it's more than that. It's about years of longing for new clothes, instead of used closed. One day, everything comes together, and it comes together when the author needs it most. This is a story that does not miss a beat. It touches our hearts because the author's longing, and happiness, are so relatable.
