With all the drama going on in the Steem world, I have been exploring other options.
Right now a solid one is LBRY]. Just recently they made it even better by finishing up LBRY.tv and account linking. I checked it out a little over a year ago, and at the time it was a bit rough. But they have been doing wonders since then. (I still got the emails from the subscription of their mailing list and have been following along.)
LBRY.tv is as easy if not easier than youtube.
The thing that got (and I wish I would have thought to do it) is uploading markdown as a file (since it's mostly file service) and using the app to read them. It comes out looking as good as any other Markdown renderer (Which steem Condensor does too)
The only downside is no curation or rewards from the posts, other than tips, BUT you can put a post or image or video or any other file for that matter behind a paywall.
