If you don't like the reflection, change what you're looking at, the saying goes. But because I loved what I saw this morning, I didn't do much physical movement or shifting to get a picture of it.
Metaphorically, the saying admonishes us to shift our mindset to see things from a different perspective, to re-evaluate our core beliefs, or to actively change our environment when our external reality is not what we want it to be.
In short, we should do something different from what we used to do to change the way things are.
Anyway, while outside earlier today, my eye caught the bright sun's reflection in the water on the blue drum, and I thought it was interesting. So I took my phone inside the house and went back to get some snaps of the scene.
The sun's rays are a little too bright, and I couldn't see what I was shooting at, but I was glad these came out quite okay😁
With a bit of difficulty and a little adjustment in my position (I was afraid my phone would drop or get wet, lol), I managed to snap a few more reflections on it.
The tall tree above the hill (maybe 40 meters away) got caught, too, along with a part of the greenhouse, with the sky and clouds in the background.
Tried to find some more, and got the tiny wee faint reflections of the flies crawling and/or cozying on the mouth of the drum. They are too small to see clearly, but I do love the view of the landscape in the background.😊
Left them be and came back in to prepare breakfast, and of course, to share them as my non-contest participation in the SMARP initiative by Olgavita.
It's a lovely Friday in DD, and we're taking advantage of it for a little adventure on the road.😍
