One of my favorite holidays every year here in the US is Halloween. Children all dress up in costumes and come around trick or treating for goodies, it's all good fun. There are already houses around the neighborhood starting to assemble their Halloween displays, some can be very elaborate. I know in some areas they have a yearly competition with a cash prize going to the best decorated house. However, I won't be doing much decorating this year. Since my son grew up, it's just not as much fun or nearly important...
One thing I have always loved about holidays is giving the gift of silver. When I used to run my office every holiday my employees always knew they would get a silver bonus, a coin or a round celebrating the holiday. My favorite bonus I would give out yearly was April Fool's Day, one year I gave the whole staff a gift wrapped box with $100 in pennies each. They each much have weighed over 50 pounds (22.7 kg!)
I have long since shut down the office and only work part time from home now. But I do miss being kind to my staff, they were all great people!
Every year I try to pick up a silver coin or round for most holidays. Since Halloween is coming I've started shopping around. The one I've found that I like so far is this one I found at APMEX.com:

I really like the design on this silver round. I don't usually like colorized silver, but this one is kind of fun. Will I buy it, I don't know yet, I may find something I like better at a good deal. These are running about $81 a piece right now, which is a little steep since the price of silver is only around $60.
It has been some time since I've done a precious metals post, so this just felt overdue!
Silver Prices Over The Last Year
Silver was above $120 not all that long ago, but seems to have settled around $60. I kind of expect it to hang out at these levels for the time being. Which is okay with me since most of the silver I own was purchased when silver was $15 or under...
A bit of a rollercoaster ride, that much is for sure. It might shoot back up, it might drop back down. I've almost given up predicting anymore! But silver is always a good investment, and will always have value. It's great way to build personal wealth that can be passed onto your children. That's where most of mine will end up some day, in my son's hands. Fortunately, he likes silver and gold as well!
Silver and gold are always great gifts to give for any occasion. So if it's in the budget, gift precious metals, people will cherish those gifts and hang onto them. One of my former employees recently told me she still has all the silver I gave her over the years and has started buying more over the years. I created a monster! Moral of the story is to give the gift of precious metals!
That will do it for me today, thanks for taking the time to read over my post and I hope you enjoyed it. Please feels free to leave any comments or questions below, and as always thank you for all of your support. It's greatly appreciated! Have a great week everyone!
