I agree that some people think that getting the last word in means you "won". I'm lucky that I don't care about winning much. I've heard enough poor arguments that I'm happy to say something like "Our ideas differ considerably but I'm glad you shared your viewpoint. It has given me something to consider". Then leave it at that. :)

Now I may think they are a nutcase :) .. but I don't care to argue with people like that hahaha.
