Yesterday was a blast!
It was my birthday yesterday and I'm glad to spend it with some of the most special people of my life. <3
I didn't really have any big plans for my special day, but my parents and I agreed on going to church to give our gratitude for another year to live. Then later in the evening, I'd be video calling my bestie who lives in the other side of the world since it has always been our routine to video call especially during special occasions. <3
The morning went on as usual. Mama cooked some pasta, because I'm such a pastaholic!, for lunch. Our plan was to go to church in the afternoon. It was quite weird since we usually go in the morning and be back home for lunch... but oh well!
It's creamy tuna fettuccine pasta!!! It's a bit spicy, so I really enjoyed it. :)
After lunch, mama told me that we'd just wait for a taxi outside instead of me booking a Grab car, which was again weird, so I had my hunch already. xD
When we went out, my hunch was proven correct because my male bestie and his family were already waiting in their car so we could go to church together. <3 Yaaaay! I get to see my baby Navee after a while again! ^^
The church's facade is under renovation.
My best friend had to go somewhere for a bit, so he wasn't in the pictures..
The sky was so pretty yesterday... <3
After lighting some candles and offering some prayers, we went back to the parking area which was near the Cathedral church (around 5 minutes away on foot). Before reaching the car, we saw some food stall selling some street foods, so we ended up buying some. We had some kwek-kwek and fish tempura. <3
One of the simple joys in life... Street food!!! haha
When we returned home, baby Navee and his mama took a nap in the room. My best friend went out to buy some stuff since it's also his mother-in-law's birthday and they have to go there later that night... I also had to relax a bit since I wasn't feeling very well, either.
It was early evening when we continued preparing some stuff for dinner. In addition to the pasta earlier, we had these yummy food. <3
Mama and papa prepared this whole chicken for us to share... there were actually 2 of them.. haha
My best friend also bought a bunch of takoyaki... Good thing it didn't have any "tako" or octopus since I'm allergic... haha These are basically vegetable balls... <3
Black Forest cake from Red Ribbon... which papa bought earlier that day. <3 One of my faves!!!
We had early dinner because they still had to go to the other birthday party. haha They were too busy, yesterday.
Then, the time to video call with my bestie came... <3 Yaaaaay!
My pretty bestie and adorable BLUE... <3
We started talking around seven in the evening here in the Philippines. It was six in the morning at her place. It's a great thing that she's a morning person and I'm a night owl. haha We talked for almost five hours and it felt amazing! It's always awesome spending time with her... I hope to see you soon neechan!! Let's go on another adventure soon! (I know you're going to read this... xD)
My bestie being funny and creative <3
We have always been using LINE for our video calls for a long time now, but we're still trying to explore its features. She suddenly asked me to change into grid view because she wanted us to do something. It was pretty fun!
In addition to our crazy and fun talks, it so happened that the World Baseball Classic (WBC) Quarterfinals between Italy and Japan was being held yesterday. I'm a fan of Ohtani Shohei, so I asked her if she could watch FOX on their TV... I couldn't watch it from where I am, so I usually just update myself with the highlights on MLB and WBC Facebook page, or their websites.
