I had the idea to create this piece some weeks ago and decided to give it a go this week. The piece shows a large entity radiating light on a smaller entity, and it is a perfect represention of a dark time in my life when I needed guidance the most. A time when I discovered my purpose and became brave enough to face the truth about my life, who I truly was and what my purpose in life is. This piece depicts just how I became enlightened on what I wanted for my life and how I should go about it.
"Who are you?"
A question I asked myself countless times when I wasn't quite sure of my purpose, my vision and what I wanted from my life. I realised most people were just like me in a state of confusion, searching for answers on who they are and what their destiny holds. I was all my parents and friends wanted me to be, but I was yet to discover who I wanted me to be.
At a point while I was struggling to find my identity, I got quiet, created a space alone, and asked "Who am I?" "What did I really want for my life?" "What do I have to do to live my best life?" "What's my purpose?" "Why must I do this?, "What legacy do I want to leave?"
This moment changed my life entirely and I got the answers I had been searching for. I realised I was already who I was but I just had to become brave enough to face it and live it. I got clarity, took some bold steps and make some brave choices I now benefit from today.
I didn't have to be perfect, I don't have to be at all. All I had to do was to be embrace my gifts and live life as myself, to speak and live my truth and to live in my full potential not only because I deserve it, but to also inspire others to follow their dreams, live their lives to the fullest and be example to others to own their world.
Life is too short to wake up with regrets and certainly too short to not live our best lives while we're alive. We don't get longer of this earth in these bodies so why not make the most of the time we have.
I am an example of happiness, freedom, self love, peace and true joy which all come from the ability to acknowledge who I am, express my freedom of creativity, doing the things I love the most and just going for what I want in life. I am who I am, I just had to be brave enough to live it."
