On today's episode on "the process of creating a work of art is never really finished", I present to you all my new works in a collection I named "FLORAL SOULS". Now here's the back story. A couple days ago, I created these drawings just as regular portraits as I try to improve my portrait drawing skills using scribble technique, but about two nights ago, I realised I could make these works look more mesmerising by adding, removing and adjusting a few things. Although it wasn't planned from the on set, I tried to see how I could do this without making the drawings look distorted or weird(Weird is good is art by the way), I just wanted something a bit different. So I decided to include flowers, vines , shadows and add a few changes to the eyes. This would produce an effect of a person who got wrapped by vines and flowers (all imaginative too).
The result was amazing and quite alot of people I showed loved it, so I did the same for the second portrait (the lady) and that also looked awesome. The vibrance from the flowers in the second made the work look more appealing than the first but that's really just the difference in vibes you get from different kinda flowers.
I made these adjustments after several long hours in two days and I'm glad they made the works look great. These works were created on the autodesk sketchbook app and I hope you love them.
Please kindly share your experiences on this too where you got back on the drawing board when you thought you had finished creating a piece. I would love to know about your experiences.
