Sunrise at Neds Point

I have shared a couple of posts about the lighthouse at Neds Point in Mattapoisett MA, and those posts included some shots of the sunrise colors, but Neds Point is more than just the lighthouse, with a nice area where you can look across the water and catch a beautiful sunrise, and probably from the other side of the area the sunset, but I haven't visited there at sunset yet, maybe that's something I will do soon
Lets start with a shot from one end of the car park, walking down beside the waterfront

I wanted to start with that photo as I think it makes a better first photo and thumbnail for the post, than this next shot.
This next shot was taken as I first got to the area, looking away from where the sun would rise across the water with so many boats moored out there and the beautiful early morning blues.
I think this view would be where the sun sets in this point.
I dread to imagine how much money has ben spent on all the boats moored out there in this shot

Now this next shot is to show what the Neds Point park is like ( sort of) along the water side is this parking area, when I first got there I was the only car parked there that morning, but soon after this shot a few other cars turned up people sitting in the car watching the sunrise.
and behind the car park is a green field with the lighthouse and a few buildings, so between taking shots I walked around the green field to get my steps in.
Now shots of the lighthouse or field in this post I will focus on the sunrise.

Now speaking of others turning up to catch the sunrise, I have seen many people arrive at a spot to catch a sunrise just as the sun rises, or conversely leaving a sunset spot as soon as the sun sets, and often they miss the most glorious colors of the sunrise or sunset.
So my tip which I am sure many of you know if going to catch a sunrise, try and get to the spot at least half an hour before the sunrise as often the most beautiful and vibrant colors in the sky are before the sunrise, and if catching a sunset, stay around a bit after the sun sets, again often the sunsets and any colors fade initially, but stay a few minutes and sometimes mother nature treats you to amazing colors

Focusing on the sunrise, but looks like there some real nice properties looking over the water in this area, I haven't checked prices but know they would be well out of my budget
