What is it with calling people these things in comments? Is it cultural? Do people think it is endearing? Do they believe it will get them more votes?
As you can see...
This may be a rant.
But, I think it is a well deserved one, because it is pretty strange to be called "boss" or "dear" from what are effectively, complete strangers online. And I suspect that the reason they do it is for the votes, thinking that people are so needy for attention they will reward it..
Perhaps some are.
To me, it just makes one a beggar, and beggars might get some coins from passersby, but they are unlikely to ever amount to much more than a slave, reliant on charity.
Have some self-respect.
It will get you further.

She couldn't access her Ledger wallet and supposedly wasn't getting enough help from Ledger fast enough, so she did what any security conscious crypto investor does...
Tweeted about it and tagged Ledger.
Very quickly, Ledger’s Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) tagged her in a tweet to offer his support and provided her with a link to update her Ledger app. The account had 5000 followers and also tagged the official Ledger Twitter handle. The Ledger Twitter handle did not respond. Clicking on the link, she found herself on the Ledger website and input her password.

You know how common sense is not that common?
Well, perhaps it is:
Common sense isn't originally about having good sense, it is about an alignment of the feelings between the five senses, where if it looks, sounds, smells, feels and tastes like a duck - it is probably a fucking duck. The problem is, you have to know what a bloody duck is in order to recognize what all of those things mean together - but even if you don't know, your common sense will make something up.
How can it be wrong, if it feels so right?
These days, even with all the information available, people still make utterly stupid mistakes. But here is the thing, when they are making it, they don't know they are making it, because at that point, all of their senses are aligning and it feels like the right thing to do.
That woman above had supposedly (I do not trust any of these stories) already lost her crypto savings twice earlier, yet here she is - asking Twitter for help and inputting her Ledger seed phrase into a link provided her in a tweet - like noob.
Glutton for fucking punishment.
At some point, you have to take the side of the scammers and say, if they make it so easy...

It is our intuition at fault, because that is built through experience and it seems, we don't fucken learn. We just jump into stupid situations, doing things that are "intuitive" without questioning if our intuition is experienced enough to be making the calls. Rather than slowing down and calibrating, it is full steam ahead and when it all goes to shit....

I wonder where we would be if as individuals we stopped tripping over our own uncoordinated feet and were able just to act with some modicum of actual good sense. I wonder if when we look back on our behaviors we would look at what we have done and say -
Yeah - that wasn't great.
But instead, we excuse our behaviors due to our various circumstances that are worse than everyone else's circumstances and a good enough reason to have done what we have done, acted how we have - blaming others for our own outcomes.
But alas, it seems we never get tired of putting ourselves in bad situations that we don't want to be in, as at least, it gives us something to feel self-pity over.
Common sense might be gone, but that is okay, because society now caters for the lowest common denominator instead.
