As a continuation from the drama of Saturday night when EMTs visited the bedroom, I have now set up a bed in the ER, after a even stranger repeat. I have been here for seven hours so far, had two painkillers and just had a CT scan.

It looks like there is something wrong in my neck, but I am waiting for the neurologist to come and talk with me. My brother-in-law has already checked it from home and has noticed something he thinks most won't pick up unless pointed too, that needs to be checked. Should be an interesting chat with the doctor here, but he is one of the most specialised radiologists in the country, so people normally give him a moment.

The couple painkillers are wearing off.

They didn't remove the pain, but took the sharpest edge off it. Now it is starting to return with a vengeance. It is the equivalent of a metal file on teeth, except in my head and constant.

Probably similar to most people, I don't like being in hospital, but I have spent a fair amount in them since I was 16. Generally not in the ER, but there have been occasions.

I didn't tell my daughter I was here as she has been in hospitals many times too, but my wife said she was taking me. She was upset, even though she has got to spend the night with her grandparents. She is pretty sensitive to these things and she gets upset whenever I hurt myself, like bang a finger or knock a leg while renovating or something. She doesn't see me hurt too often and it freaks her out.

I asked for refill painkillers 30 minutes ago.

One of the problems with not being a drama queen and having a high pain threshold, is waiting too long for medication. They ask me to evaluate on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the worst pain experienced. But, this is going to be relative to what I has experienced...

I have dealt with plenty of pain in my life. Doesn't mean I enjoy dealing with pain.

I am still waiting for the specialist, but I am getting pretty tired, mostly because it has been 13 hours without food and what I did eat, I didn't manage to keep down.

The preliminary report so far is that I might have to stay in here for a few days and start medication, but that is relayed through my wife. Supposedly, it is a more dangerous condition than they first thought and could be life threatening if not treated. Should be interesting.

Since I am forced to write on my phone and I am a little under the weather, I might keep the posts shortish over the next couple days. Or not.

There is a lot going on in the world and the Equilibrium Hardfork25 is just around the corner. Too many things happening to lay in a hospital bed doing nothing.

500 words seems short.
