Good Monday to all our creative community!!! I hope this week has been productive for you and that you are doing well!
Today I will talk a little more about the stages of knitting my white sweater. As you know, I had a big break in this since I was knitting a warm hat. Before this break, I knitted the first sleeve of a white sweater.
You know that I like to take knitting with me at any opportunity, so I knitted at the first opportunity. For example, when I am waiting somewhere and there is an opportunity to sit on a bench.
By that time, I had knitted the first sleeve to the middle.
After this, a long break began in the work on this project. Occasionally I returned to him but not for long.
After I finished knitting the hat, I went back to my white sweater. And finally the first sleeve was finished.
In general, it looked good, but still, in my opinion, it would be better if the sleeve was a little wider at the top. Therefore, when I started knitting the second sleeve, I decided to make it a little wider from the middle of the height. Due to such a long break, I already forgot how to work on the openwork lower part of the sleeve.
I had to look for a description of the work on this pattern and restore the skill of knitting it. Of course, the brain remembered everything, but this is a big minus when you take a big break in knitting complex patterns: you just forget how you knitted. 馃槓
In the end, I managed and quickly finished this part of the work. After switching to a simple handkerchief pattern, work went much faster.
As I already wrote, I took it with me on vacation and there I already continued knitting the second sleeve, focusing on the first one, taking into account that this second one was a little wider.
At the moment I have almost finished the second sleeve. There is very little work left.
You can see in the photo that the width of the second sleeve is different. Of course, not so much, it was just not convenient for me to stretch and hold the first sleeve and it twisted a little at the edges. But still, this photo gives an approximate idea. I wonder if this sleeve will be more comfortable in the end. I hope to be able to check it out soon! 馃榾
