This time, I’m visiting a tea shop called Momoyo. While my previous visit was to try their Matcha Series, this time I’m here to sample a new menu item: Roasted Oolong Milk Tea. They already offer several milk tea options, but this is the first one to feature Oolong tea. For this launch, they’ve also teamed up with the highly popular Indonesian celebrity Iqbal Ramadhan.
Even though Momoyo sells a variety of food and drinks at affordable prices, the shop itself is comfortable and clean, offering good, fast service. Plus, with so many branches, you can find them very easily.
"The Art of Blooming, World-Class Tea" is the theme of their new menu, featuring cups adorned with beautiful floral designs. Beyond the Roasted Oolong Milk Tea and Matcha series, Momoyo offers a wide variety of other options, such as ice cream, brown sugar boba, lemonade, lemon tea, strawberry lemonade, and much more.
Roasted Oolong Milk Tea
Oolong tea, milk, and ice—a refreshing and delicious combination. It has the perfect level of sweetness, creamy milk, and great-tasting tea. It’s a delicious drink at an affordable price. It costs only 20,000 rupiah, yet the taste is excellent—rivaling similar drinks that cost much more (though Teazi's Oolong tea is still tastier, it costs twice as much, haha).
A drink perfect for a hot day—sweet and refreshing. You have to try it; it’s affordable and delicious.
Sostel
In addition to a wide selection of drinks, this Momoyo outlet in Tanjung Morawa also sells sostel (sausage-and-egg skewers)—an item you likely won't find at other Momoyo branches. It is a new offering here, though not part of the standard Momoyo menu; rather, it is an extra item sold by the shop owner. Sostel consists of a sausage wrapped in egg, typically prepared using a specialized mold. It offers a delicious, simple flavor profile—salty and savory—while the added sauce and mayonnaise provide a touch of spiciness and a hint of sweetness. It is truly tasty.
