The lack of progress in the pectoral muscles often associated with "main exercise for the chest"- the bench press, which is so obsessed with athletes who have little experience. The bench press is the best exercise for the chest only for those who have the chest as a dominating muscle group. In this case, it doesn’t matter what are the exercises to train your chest: it will respond to any load. In other cases, I believe that we shouldn’t stake on the bench press. At least I lost three or four years to understand it. In order to understand this, we need to better understand anatomy. Chest muscles are responsible for moving the arms to the center of the body, therefore more effective exercises for the chest can be: different reductions as well as presses with some reductions on a course of movement from the body. For example all sorts of presses in the Hammer. Presses dumbbells with a peak contraction at the top. That's moving to the center it is possible to shorten the chest muscles. Alas, the bench press isn’t able to reduce the chest muscles as much as possible, and, mainly, loading side of the chest and front of the deltoid. And it will be difficult to feel the middle of your chest after the bench press. This applies to beginners and athletes such as I-for whom it’s complicated to work out the middle of the chest. Only by exluding bench presses and adding bench presses in hammer, dumbbell presses, wiring in the crossover, I felt the middle of my chest and as a result felt the progress in the chest. Don’t forget that bodybuilding it is the maximum training of the trained muscle group. Sometimes I do the bench press with decent weight, but usually put it come to the end of the workout.
