Is marriage at a later age a problem? How do people react in Suriname?

Hello Hivers,
Marriage is one of the most beautiful expierences in life. As there is no age restriction it can be done at any age. The generation of my grandparents was a lot different. When girls were turning 12 or 13 years old they were married by their parents. Now with my generation it's quite different. Parents wait when their children complete college then they are allowed to marry. Nowdays this age number is around 25.

There are still people who are older and decide to marry. So was this marriage. They were in a living-in relationship for years and have had children already. They have now decided to get married, because it's necessary for their children paperwork or so.

In Suriname this is not a problem anymore. The older generation of my grandparents they had problems with this thing. It was a problem that: 'WHAT WILL PEOPLE SAY?'
This what will people say thing has very bad effects for everyone, but i'm happy that people nowdays think differently.

Purple is their favorite color so that's why the decoration is purple.
