"The Witch of the North came close to Dorothy and kissed her gently on the forehead. Where did you get silver shoes?' she asked. 'I got them from the Wicked Witch of the East, when my house fell on her and killed her,' Dorothy answered. 'They are yours now,' said the Witch of the North, 'and you shall have them to wear. They have wonderful powers, and one of the most curious things about them is that they can carry you anywhere in the world in three steps, and each step will be made in the wink of an eye. All you have to do is to knock the heels together three times and command the shoes to carry you wherever you wish to go.'"
-L. Frank Baum The Wonderful Wizard of Oz
Here are the stats:

Oz Bullion is the only retailer I've seen selling them https://ozbullion.com/products/2024-silver-shoe-1-400-oz-999-silver-note-oznote. They are on ebay but they're twice the price of Oz Bullion.
This was $14.95 when I ordered it last week and now they are $19.95! I'd still buy it at that price, and I may pick up another, I just love it.
Here is the write-up from the website:
This stunning “Silver Shoe” note, the first in a new series, delves into the true essence of the original Oz story—a powerful allegory for the Free Silver Movement of the 1890s. In this era, farmers, business owners, and ordinary citizens petitioned the government to restore silver as currency, to break free from the stranglehold of a gold-based monetary system controlled by a powerful few.
Just as the silver shoes held the power to change Dorothy's destiny, so too did the advocates of the Free Silver Movement believe in the transformative power of silver to restore balance and fairness to their world.
The “Chronicles of Oz” Collection is not just a celebration of a beloved story but a tribute to the deeper meanings and historical context that make it timeless. It is a piece of literary and cultural history and a symbol of the enduring quest for freedom and prosperity.
That's pretty cool, I've heard that story before but only bits of it. I may need to delve father into these books and their symbolism.
It's difficult to get a photo that can show what a beauty this really is. The way they shimmer, the depths of color, the detail. I'm really in love with this note.
Here's the reverse aka backside ;)
Here it is together with the gold OzNote.
This is a series I am 100% going to collect.
