Well it’s a pretty nice day here today, it started off pretty cold. My truck read forty nine degrees this morning. When I was heading to the gym at 4:30am.
I came home pretty beat up, then ended up working like a dog in the shop full throttle on top of that.
Now for the silver….
Cast silver bars are a rustic alternative to minted ingots. While minted ingots are machined and polished for a finished look, cast silver bars are much simpler in appearance and are left with imperfections as a part of the refining process.
Obverse designs on the 10 oz Italpreziosi Cast Silver Bar include the mint logo with identifying hallmarks. The logo is at the top of the vertical field, with the weight, metal content, and purity noted below. The individual serial number is etched at the bottom of the bar.
Reverse sides of the 10 oz Italpreziosi Silver Bars are left blank on purpose. Most cast silver bars have inscriptions only on one side and come with common imperfections that would otherwise not be present on products like minted ingots because the latter are polished after being machine-stamped.
Italpreziosi was founded in 1984 in Arezzo, Italy. The refiner specializes in producing and trading precious metals. It serves miners, banks, jewelry manufacturers, and private consumers alike.
These bars are really quite cool. They have a brushed finish on them making them look unique. Most bars are really shiny and are typically pressed and boring. Not these bars, they even come with a serial number and are numbered.
