In Venezuela an election is coming up to know if we will keep the Essequibo or not. That's practically it, I honestly don't see the reason to make an election for that. Since I saw geography and history in high school, the Esequibo was the part in claim and the maps were always painted with the Esequibo, therefore I can understand that since it was a claimed area, something belonged to us.
Now I ask myself, if the government says that it belongs to us and they are getting into our territory, why do we have to hold elections to know what the people decide, they are simply taking away a piece of land and you have to go and show your face. They have to defend the territory and that's it.
Of course now the problem is that they have discovered oil and of course if they have already stolen millions of dollars for the oil, another new source of oil is more money to steal, that is why I think they want a territory that they are supposedly taking away. I think, not another election, what's the point, it doesn't make sense, they don't need to defend that and that's it, it can be considered an invasion, I don't know, we only know that they are making incursions.
En Venezuela se aproximan unas elecciones para saber si nos quedamos con el Esequibo o no. Prácticamente es eso, yo honestamente no le veo porque hacer una elección para eso. Desde que yo vi geografía e historia en bachillerato el Esequibo era la parte en reclamación y siempre se pintaba los mapas con el Esequibo por ende puedo entender que al ser zona reclamada algo nos pertenecía.
Ahora me pregunto yo, si el gobierno dice que es de nosotros y se están metiendo en nuestro territorio porque hay que hacer unas elecciones para saber que decide el pueblo, simplemente te están quitando una tierra y tienes que ir a dar la cara más nada, que consulta ni que consulta. Tienen que defender el territorio y ya.
Claro ahora es que se prende el problema porque creo que descubrieron petróleo y claro si ya se han robado millones de dólares por el petróleo otra nueva fuente de petróleo es más dinero para robar, por eso yo pienso es que quieren un territorio que supuestamente le están quitando. Yo pienso, no a otra elección, para qué, no tiene sentido no hace falta defiendan eso y ya, se puede considerar invasión, no sé, solo se sabe que están incursionando.
