Lo primero que me pasa por la mente al ver un muelle de carga de estos que sale en la imagen es el recordatorio de estar en la oficina del trabajo de papá, jugando a un juego que se llama 18 Wheels of Steel Haulin, es un juego de simulación de manejo de camiones de carga larga por los Estados Unidos. El juego siempre me gustó y de ahí nació y creció mi afición por los camiones. Al salir del colegio, un familiar nos hacía la vuelta de llevarnos al edificio donde papá trabajaba, ya que le quedaba de camino. Nosotros subíamos a la oficina con ayuda de la recepcionista, ella nos saludaba y nos montaba en el ascensor y seleccionaba el piso a donde iríamos ya que no alcanzábamos a los botones.

Al llegar al piso salíamos y caminábamos al final del pasillo a la derecha, ahí generalmente papá nos abría la puerta, al llegar saludábamos a todos los que andaban en la oficina y generalmente la computadora estaba libre, el hijo del jefe de papá tenía la misma edad que nosotros para aquella época, y el casi siempre nos prestaba la computadora para jugar, a mí me encantó desde que lo jugué por primera vez, era un juego muy entretenido, divertido y nunca recuerdo que me llegó a aburrir, de hecho intenté instalarlo en la computadora de casa pero nunca pude, no sabía ni como buscarlo, el juego siempre estaba abierto y nunca pregunté por su nombre solo llegaba jugando.

Fue un día que la luz falló y la computadora se apagó, que al iniciar nuevamente la computadora pude visualizar el nombre, lo anoté como pude en un papel y me lo traje a casa, aquí lo busqué, lo descargué y busque un video por YouTube y seguí los pasos para instalarlo, desde ahí, en ese momento mi vicio surgió, un vicio sano que me hacía estudiar solo para que al terminar pudiera jugar, el tener horarios para usar la computadora no podía jugar siempre. Jugaba en la oficina de papá y en la tarde noche después de estudiar y después de comer, antes de dormir.

The first thing that comes to my mind when I see one of these loading bays in the picture is a reminder of being in Dad's office at work, playing a game called 18 Wheels of Steel Haulin, a simulation game about driving long haul trucks across the United States. I always liked the game and from there my love for trucks was born and grew. When we got out of school, a family member would drive us to the building where Dad worked, since it was on his way. We would go up to the office with the help of the receptionist, she would greet us and put us on the elevator and select the floor where we would go since we could not reach the buttons.

When we got to the floor we would get out and walk to the end of the hallway to the right, there dad would usually open the door for us, when we got there we would greet everyone in the office and usually the computer was free, dad's boss's son was the same age as us at that time, and he would almost always lend us the computer to play with, I loved it since I played it for the first time, it was a very entertaining game, fun and I never remember that I got bored, in fact I tried to install it on the computer at home but I never could, I didn't even know how to look for it, the game was always open and I never asked for its name, I just came playing.

It was one day when the power failed and the computer was turned off, when I started the computer again I could see the name, I wrote it down as I could on a piece of paper and brought it home, here I looked for it, downloaded it and looked for a video on YouTube and followed the steps to install it, from there, at that moment my vice arose, a healthy vice that made me study just so that when I finished I could play, having schedules to use the computer I could not play all the time. I played in my father's office and in the evening after studying and after eating, before going to sleep.
