So it's been a little while since I posted a blog and I'll tell you why...

Mostly, it's down to our neighbour. I've made no secret that we've had a bit of a dispute recently but it just went atomic. I remained calm, I tried to reason, I didn't use naughty words. I was shouted at, had abuse hurled at me and a door slammed in my face followed by the sound of something glass being thrown against the wall. I love our neighbour, so classy... so refined...

But anyway, one point that was made is that there was some rubbish in our garden. Now I'll admit, I'm something of a hoarder, I like to collect stuff and recycle it, very "allotment chic". So, after our little confrontatition I decided something had to change. So without a care for my tiredness, ignoring the knee pain, I pressed on. I can be quite determined when I want to be and it's usually a bad thing. I sink my teeth into something and don't let go...

Long story short and over the weekend I've piled up all my junk, cleared out my polytunnel and built a new bench for it, cleared all the weeds from around the fences. I have enough junk piled up now to fill a skip and 2 compost bins filled to the brim with weeds and some to spare. It doesn't sound like much but trust me, it was a huge job and took 3 days. There would be photos but ever since it's been pissing it down.

scarletleonard@scarletleonard has also taken to it and has been doing a cracking job clearing out the house so we're all pulling our weight.

Even the kids have made the effort to clear out their old toys and work as part of the team. They've eased back on the shouting and screaming (trying to play a little more responsibly) and with a 3yo that's some effort! Tantrums are at all time low!

It's amazing how one negative event can have so many positive outcomes. We're clutter free, we're well on the way to landscaping the garden and the family as a whole is happier, healthier and there's a real feeling of teamwork.

All this time working on the house has put me a little behind with actual work and certainly impacted on my Steemit posting but that's the next focus, while we wait things to turn up for the next steps (skips, saw blades and timber).

So that's me roughly up to date and you can expect some more posts soon!
