I found the rest of my Empire Ranch photos 🤦 I knew I had some better shots of the old ranch.
The old stables were very picturesque.
There are still cattle on the ranch. And I think they have some festivals here. They may even still work the cattle with horses sometimes. But no one lives on the ranch anymore.
The cowboys show up in pick up trucks pulling horse trailers.
Then unload the horses and get to work.
These old fences remember the good old days 😆
They just worked around this old mesquite tree when putting up the fence around the corral.
At one time there was a visitors center and historical trail.
Most of the buildings are still here but not maintained like they used to be.
Still have this killer ranch sign though 🙂 complete with their brands.
And the scenery is still as awesome as ever.
We were the only one around. Which added to the feeling of visiting a bygone era.
Cool to see the old buildings and imagine the past...
