Hello friends! I hope you are all healthy, doing well, and living your lives in peace and happiness.
So, let's get started today. I am posting here again after quite a long time; for some reason, I hadn't been posting regularly, but today I decided to resume. Recently—just last week—I went to Mumbai with a friend. Mumbai is considered one of India's most beautiful, vast, and famous cities. We went there because my friend had some work to attend to, and we thought we might as well spend a few days exploring the city. It happened to be the time of the Ganesh Festival, a truly magnificent season for Mumbai—the atmosphere there is wonderful. We set off on a Friday evening; I had taken about a week off work, planning to return within that time since my friend didn't have a huge amount of work to do. After arriving, we stayed for two or three days. The Ganesh Festival celebrations were spectacular; large idols of Lord Ganesha were installed in every street and neighborhood, and people were worshipping them with great devotion. I went around with my friend to see the idols in various neighborhoods and witnessed some truly beautiful sights. I even took photos—using my friend's phone—of the streets and the beautifully crafted idols. Please take a look at these photos.
Friends, we were quite exhausted by the end of the first day; since we had work to attend to, we decided to get that done as well. We had saved the rest of the locations for the following day. In the next post, I will share photos of the Ganesha idols from those other places, showcasing how the artistic spirit of the people in India continues to shine through.
