Every league plays by the same rulebook now, and a quick hover shows you more before you commit.
This patch is about seeing more before you commit. Ranked now shows every
league the same pool of rules, so what you practice is what you play. Match
history and the draft both gained quick hover previews, and the tournament
bracket got a readability fix.
Ranked now draws from the same pool of rules for every league. Before,
lower leagues could only ever see a smaller set of possible rules while
higher leagues saw more, so the rules you practiced against were not the
rules you would meet as you climbed. Now the pool is identical for
everyone, and only your tier decides how many rules stack on a match, up
to three. Ghost Ranked also rolls a little richer, two to three rules per
match instead of the old lighter roll.
On your match history you can now hover a match to see a quick preview:
your commander, the rulesets and mana cap, and your opponent's commander.
It makes finding the exact game you are looking for much faster, with no
need to open the replay first.
In the draft, hovering one of the seven cards you have picked at the
bottom now opens the same enlarged preview and ability description you get
when picking from the pool above. Double-check a card's ability without
losing your place in the pool.
Fixed two bracket display bugs, most visible on the losers bracket. A
finished match no longer shows a blank status bar under the two players,
and the rounds no longer look crushed together into a single squashed row.
The bracket structure reads clearly now.
More clarity and quality-of-life touches are on the way. Thanks for playing
the alpha and sending us your replays and reports, they are what shape these.
