I just finished a 6.973km running that lasted about 0hh:41mm:13ss !
It was distinctly cooler this morning, but dry. I did the lap of Fairfield that I have done plenty of times before. I decided not to go too hard as I have the Standalone 10k this weekend and will just stretch my legs before that. I will probably not do parkrun on Saturday to save myself for the longer race.
I saw a couple of guys out running just after leaving the house. Also saw a guy on a bike with a dog trotting alongside. I have seen him before. It is one way to walk your dog as long as it does not pull you over.
I was not breaking any records today, but I felt quite strong. There is a hill at the far end that I usually struggle a bit on, but I kept the speed up there. By the time I came down West Drive I was tiring a bit and so just took it easy on the way home.
I was listening to a Radiolab episode about an ultra-runner who had to have a brain operation to cure fits. It means she struggles to understand maps or feel the passage of time, but she has done amazing things. As has @rthelly who covered 100km in 24 hours recently.
I am continually inspired by the runners of Hive.
Run free and stay well.
