Description from Strava:
I have been away for over a week when the only run I did was a parkrun near Dundee so I needed to get back to it now. We did a lot of walking, so my legs have been tired at times, but we really enjoyed the break. Posts about places we visited will be on Hive. Let me know if you want an account.
Today was nice an bright, but not too warm. As I set off some kids were heading to school now the summer break is over. I wanted to go a bit further than I normally do in the week so I did my loop around the villages. Going up the hill to Fairfield the sun coming through the trees was in my eyes a bit, but that is not so bad. My legs were coping with the climb.
The path around Fairfield has barriers to stop vehicles, but the adjacent gates were open today. It may be there was maintenance going on, but I did not see anything. As it has been a couple of weeks since my last run around here I noticed a few changes. Everywhere is somewhat greener as we have had some rain after a very dry summer.
I headed over to Stotfold and took the more direct route home this time. It was almost 10km in about an hour which is fine for an easy run. Strava says I was mostly in heart zone 2 and I was not even checking that as I ran.
I will see if they need marshals at parkrun on Saturday, but I would like to run.
Run free!
