Unfortunately there are still people in this modern world who think rhino horn has some 'magical' properties. You may as well grind up your fingernails and eat that as they are made of the same stuff. More unfortunately the willingness of people to pay for this useless material is driving a poaching trade that kills 3 rhinos each day. This week the poachers reached France and killed a rhino in a zoo.

If you live anywhere that people actually buy this stuff then do what you can to dissuade them. If we can kill the demand then the trade will also stop. It has no medical benefits and anyone who thinks it gives them status is deluded. The same applies to many other items for which rare animals are being slaughtered. Attitudes need to change or we will lose the animals forever.
